The Lebanese pop starlet continued her career honor roll by attending and performing at Monaco’s World Music Awards 2008. After taking the stage at a cross-cultural Arab-Russian landmark event in the UAE as the sole representative of Arab performing arts, Nancy travelled to the tiny coastal republic to attend and sing at the aforementioned awards ceremony.

In an event that supplemented her recent achievements, the singer took the Best Selling Artist in the Middle East Award, beating fellow Lebanese songbird, Elissa. Prior to accepting the honor, Ajram graced the stage and dazzled the audience with her appearance in a perfect way to celebrate her achievement.
Other artists that scooped up awards were Alicia Keys, Kid Rock, Estelle, The Script, Madcon, DJ Laurent Wolf, Kate Ryan, and Philipp Kirkorov. They all also performed at the WMAs, while British rock group Coldplay took the honor of world’s Best Selling Recording Act.

The awards have been running since 1989 as a charity event that funnels benefits to the Monaco Aide & Presence Foundation.

There seems to be no end in sight for Nancy’s long line of accomplishments. Is her standing overblown and destined to crash and burn sometime in the future, or is she truly deserving of all the attention that she has been showered with?
