Amr Diab Donates 100 Thousand Dollars to the Victims' Fund of the Port Said Massacre
Egyptian star Amr Diab is trying to wash away some of the guilt that came with his Port Saidi origins following Wednesday's massacre which resulted in 73 martyrs, all supporters of Al Ahli club.
Amr tried to show his sympathy toward the families of the victims who lost their innocent souls at the game, and he thus donated 100 thousand dollars to the special fund for the massacre victims.
Amr was born in Port Said and he expressed his deep sorrow for the horrifying events that took place there, to the extent that he couldn't even go to his office in Giza for the past 3 days. He also wanted to go pay his condolences to the families of the deceased, but he was advised not to, to avoid colliding with the public there and facing attacks because of his Port Saidi origins.
Amr Diab wrote on his official page how bad he felt and how bitter it was for him to leave Port Said as a child in 1967, but that was nothing compared to the bitterness that the massacre has left in his heart.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all Egyptians at this difficult time.
