In a live interview on a Lebanese network last Monday, Mr. Salim Al Hindi (General Manager of Rotana Records) confirmed our previous speculations on Wikeez. He deliberately announced that the company is almost done decreasing the number of its recording artists from 130 to only 65. This is mainly due to the international financial crisis that pushed the company only to maintain successful artists within borders no more, no less.

On the other hand, Al Hindi avoided discussing any of his conflicts with his stars. Instead he positively mentioned his favorite ones such as Haifa Wehbe and Najwa Karam describing them as very intelligent and always starlicious. He also admitted his constant attempts to sign with superstar Nancy Ajram who still refuses to join the company up to this date. The same applies for Carole Samaha and Yara which he considered very successful artists and important names to have them within Rotana.
