Wael Kfoury is a Lebanese singer born in Haoush Al Umara, Zahle on 15/9/1974. His real name is Michael Kfoury and his passion for music started in his early years. He studied solfege at the "USEK" university in Lebanon. In year 1992, he participated in the talent show, "Studio El Fan", and won the gold medal. This was Wael's 1st huge step on the road to stardom. His 1st song, "Ma Waadtik Bi Njoum El Layl" was a hit. In year 1996, he was drafted to the military service but he didn't stop his singing career. Between 1999 and 2005, he realeased 5 albums by "Music Box International" and "Rotana". He also did many advertisements, and lately in year 2007, he participated in Pepsi's movie, "Bahr El Noujoum" alongside with stars like Haifa and Carole Samaha. He won many rewards throughout his career including 5 "Murex D'or" and he did many world tours performing around the world. He released many successful albums such as: "arreb layyi", "Omri Killo", "Wael", "Shou Raeyik", "Hikayit Aashe2", "Sa2alouni", "boukra rayeh al jeish" and others.He is nicknamed as "the king of romance".
